Day 6 From Babcock State Pk, W Va to Pittsburg, PA

We got an early start, just a little after 9 and had an nice ride through the  Appalachia’s through W Va to Pittsburgh.  Rolling hills, deep valleys cut by mountain rivers.  It’s an old set of hills with soft rounded tops.  Driving along the local and state roads, there is a sense of emptiness.  A lot of shuttered buildings.  I don’t think from the virus but from an economy that’s passed them by.

We set up in our campground about an hour north of Pittsburgh and then drove just the truck (leaving the trailer behind) to my sons house, where Scott and been cooking smoked pork belly burnt ends.  What a fabulous meal.  We made plans to play golf the next day and we went back to our campground.
